SportE Payment Gateway Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Payment Gateway Terms and Conditions govern the use of payment gateway integrations available through SportE, a sports venue booking and management platform operated by Weblabs Digital Solutions Private Limited ("SportE", "we", "our" or "us").

SportE enables sports facility owners, venue operators, academies and other authorized businesses ("Venue Owners") to connect supported third-party payment gateways to their SportE accounts to facilitate online payments for bookings made through their booking platforms.

By connecting, configuring or using a payment gateway integration through SportE, the Venue Owner agrees to these Terms, along with the applicable SportE Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and the terms of the selected payment gateway provider.

2. Scope of the Service

SportE provides software functionality that allows Venue Owners to integrate supported payment gateways with their booking platforms.

Depending on the integration and configuration available, these capabilities may include:

  • Connecting a supported payment gateway account.
  • Enabling online payments for player bookings.
  • Displaying payment status against bookings.
  • Retrieving transaction references or payment confirmations.
  • Supporting booking and payment reconciliation through the SportE dashboard.

The availability of specific features depends on the selected payment gateway, the integration implemented by SportE and the Venue Owner's account configuration.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in a separate written agreement, SportE provides the software integration and does not act as the payment processor, acquiring bank or recipient of payments made directly to a Venue Owner through the Venue Owner's own gateway account.

3. Venue Owner Responsibilities

The Venue Owner is responsible for:

  • Maintaining a valid account with the selected payment gateway provider.
  • Providing accurate business, bank account, tax and other information requested by the provider.
  • Completing the provider's verification, onboarding and compliance requirements.
  • Maintaining the security and confidentiality of gateway credentials and access permissions.
  • Configuring payment methods, booking prices, taxes, cancellation rules and refund policies accurately.
  • Ensuring that the products and services offered comply with applicable laws and the payment gateway provider's terms.
  • Responding to player queries relating to bookings, payment disputes, cancellations and refunds.
  • Keeping their gateway account active and ensuring that their payment configuration remains valid.

SportE may require the Venue Owner to reconnect, reauthorize or update an integration if the provider changes its requirements or the existing connection stops functioning.

4. Third-Party Payment Gateway Providers

SportE may support third-party payment gateway providers, including Razorpay and other providers made available through the platform.

Each payment gateway provider operates under its own terms of service, privacy policy, fees, settlement procedures, security requirements and dispute-resolution processes.

Venue Owners must review and accept the applicable provider terms before connecting or using a gateway.

SportE does not control the independent operations, decisions, service availability, settlement schedules, account approvals or transaction-processing policies of third-party providers. Any applicable limitation is subject to the actual integration and the responsibilities agreed between the relevant parties.

5. Payment Collection and Settlement

Payments for player bookings made through a Venue Owner's connected payment gateway are processed according to the payment arrangement established between the Venue Owner and the selected provider.

Where the gateway is connected to the Venue Owner's own account:

  • The Venue Owner is responsible for maintaining the account and its settlement details.
  • Payment settlements are governed by the provider's applicable terms and processing arrangements.
  • Applicable transaction fees, taxes, reserves, settlement delays and other charges may be imposed by the provider.
  • SportE does not guarantee a particular settlement date or that every transaction will be successful.
  • SportE does not collect or hold player booking funds unless a separate written arrangement expressly provides otherwise.

The Venue Owner is responsible for verifying payment status before confirming or fulfilling a booking where payment confirmation is required.

6. Payment Gateway Fees and Charges

The Venue Owner is responsible for any payment gateway charges, transaction fees, settlement fees, taxes or other charges imposed by the selected provider, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

SportE subscription fees are separate from payment gateway fees. Any charges payable to SportE for using its software, subscription plan or additional services are governed by the applicable SportE pricing and subscription terms.

SportE does not represent that a third-party payment gateway is free of transaction charges unless this has been expressly confirmed by the provider and applies to the Venue Owner's account.

7. Failed, Pending or Duplicate Transactions

A payment may fail, remain pending, be delayed or appear differently across the gateway and SportE dashboard due to network issues, provider processing delays, bank responses or integration errors.

In such circumstances:

  • The Venue Owner should verify the transaction status through the relevant gateway account.
  • A booking should not be treated as paid solely because a player reports completing a payment.
  • The Venue Owner should avoid requesting a second payment until the status of the first transaction has been checked.
  • Duplicate charges or disputed transactions should be investigated using the gateway provider's transaction records.
  • SportE may provide reasonable technical assistance for issues arising from its platform or integration.

The final status of a transaction is subject to confirmation from the payment gateway and any applicable bank or payment network.

8. Refunds and Cancellations

The Venue Owner is responsible for establishing and communicating the applicable booking cancellation and refund rules to players, subject to applicable law and the terms of the relevant payment gateway provider.

Where a refund is approved:

  • The Venue Owner must initiate or authorize the refund through the applicable process supported by the payment gateway.
  • Refund processing times depend on the provider, payment method, issuing bank and other relevant parties.
  • SportE does not guarantee that a refund will be completed within a particular period.
  • The Venue Owner must communicate relevant refund decisions and updates to the player.
  • Any refund-related gateway fees, deductions or restrictions are governed by the provider's terms and the Venue Owner's agreement with that provider.

If SportE implements an automated refund feature, its availability and operation will depend on the supported integration and the Venue Owner's authorization. No automatic refund should be assumed unless the feature is explicitly available and enabled.

9. Chargebacks, Disputes and Fraud Prevention

The Venue Owner is responsible for responding to chargebacks, payment disputes, suspected fraudulent bookings and requests for transaction evidence relating to payments received through their gateway account.

The Venue Owner must provide accurate booking records, payment information and supporting evidence when required by the payment gateway provider.

SportE may assist by making relevant booking records or available transaction metadata accessible, subject to its technical capabilities, privacy obligations and applicable law.

SportE does not guarantee the outcome of any chargeback, payment dispute or fraud investigation.

10. Payment Data and Privacy

SportE may process information necessary to support the booking and payment workflow. Depending on the integration, this may include booking amounts, transaction references, payment status, timestamps and other transaction-related metadata.

Payment credentials and sensitive payment information may be collected or processed directly by the third-party payment gateway. The actual data collected by SportE depends on the integration.

Venue Owners must not submit payment card details, gateway passwords, secret keys or other sensitive credentials through unauthorized fields or channels.

SportE's collection, use, storage and disclosure of personal information are governed by its Privacy Policy and applicable law. The payment gateway provider's own privacy policy also applies to its processing of information.

11. Security and Account Access

Venue Owners must protect their SportE accounts, payment gateway credentials, API keys and other access mechanisms.

Venue Owners must promptly notify SportE and the payment gateway provider if they suspect unauthorized access, compromised credentials, suspicious transactions or misuse of their account.

SportE may suspend or disable an integration where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected misuse, protect the platform or comply with a provider requirement or legal obligation.

12. Availability and Technical Limitations

Payment gateway integrations depend on third-party services, internet connectivity, provider APIs and the correct configuration of the Venue Owner's account.

SportE does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every payment attempt will succeed.

SportE may update, modify, suspend or discontinue a particular integration where necessary due to technical changes, security concerns, provider requirements or business decisions. Where reasonably practicable, SportE will communicate material changes to affected Venue Owners.

13. Suspension or Disconnection

SportE may restrict, suspend or disconnect a payment gateway integration where:

  • The Venue Owner's gateway account is suspended, invalid or no longer authorized.
  • Credentials or permissions have expired or become invalid.
  • Fraud, unauthorized activity or a security concern is reasonably suspected.
  • The integration is being used in violation of applicable law or provider terms.
  • A third-party provider withdraws support for the integration.
  • Suspension is required to protect users, comply with a legal obligation or address a material technical issue.

The Venue Owner remains responsible for managing bookings and communicating with players during any interruption.

14. Limitation of Responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, SportE is not responsible for losses caused by a third-party payment gateway's independent processing decisions, account restrictions, settlement delays, provider outages or payment-network failures.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

SportE remains responsible for its own contractual obligations and for addressing issues attributable to its software or integration in accordance with the applicable agreement and law.

15. Changes to These Terms

SportE may update these Terms to reflect changes in its platform, supported payment gateways, applicable law or business operations.

The updated version will be published with a revised effective or last-updated date. Where required by law or the applicable agreement, SportE will provide notice or obtain renewed acceptance before the changes take effect.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to applicable law.

Disputes arising from these Terms will be handled in accordance with the dispute-resolution provisions of the applicable SportE agreement and applicable law.
